Aurzel: A New Journey (Part 3) (Approved)

Aurzel woke with a start. "What's going one?!" his head snapped left and right trying to figure out where he was.
"Shh, shh, quiet now, you're safe," it was Karret, she was standing over him.
"W-what happened? I remember fighting those machine things, there must have been twenty five or so of them, there were energy blasts all over the place," Aurzel scratched his head trying to remember.
"Actually there were thirty two units, you were quite impressive to make it so far for a young boy with no training," Karret said as she helped him to sit up.
He grunted and winced a little as he came to a sitting position, "What happened though, the last thing I remember is smashing two of them and then running towards a wall ... then ... nothing."
"Right, one of the blasts caught you off guard from above and knocked you into the wall, after that the rest kind of knocked you into a coma, that was two days ago," Karret explained.
"What?!" Aurzel sat bolt up right now, "I've been asleep for almost two days?!"
"Yes unfortunately, you had to spend several hours in an isolation chamber before you were even able to survive off the machines, we thought it best for you to come around on your own after that. We're suprised you're up already, we thought you'd be out cold for at least another three days."
"Well I'm good to go now," Aurzel jumped to his feet and stumbled, almost collapsing to the floor.
Karret caught him just in time, "Not quite young one, but what you're going to do next doesn't need you to be in peak condition, come with me."
He steadied himself and then followed Karret as she walked out the door and turned left down a corridor.

That had been over twelve hours ago, now Aurzel sat cross-legged on the floor of a small room. It was completely bare and the walls, floor and ceiling were made of some sort of soft plastic. They had told him it was to dissapate any energy produced by the occupant. They called it the meditation chamber, the soft plastic actually made the floor quite comfortable. Aurzel had been in the same position since arriving. They had told him to focus his energy and that was exactly what he had been doing. Although he was young and his understanding of energy was limited to the few little bits he'd picked up on his own as a kid, he knew how to control it at least to a small extent. His mind was clear as he felt his energy all through him. It was everywhere, it moved through every blood vessel, through every nerve of his body, every muscle he could feel his energy all around him like a sheeth. As he concentrated his energy he formed into a slight glow surrounding his body. It created an aura of sorts and pulsated in rythme with the beat of his heart. Satisfied that his control had improved over these hours of meditation he let the aura fall away. The light returned to normal and he opened his eyes for the first time and stood up. Slowly he raised his hand and focused on it. He could feel the energy flowing down his arm, through his hand and back up into his chest. He slowed his breathing to help his concentration as he gathered energy into his arm. As it swelled with the energy flowing through it he nudged the energy into his hand. It flowed smoothly down and with a push of his will the energy began to flow out of his hand and form a ball, hovering a few inches from his open palm. Carefully he fed the ball of energy with more, he urged his body to produce more energy, supplying his hand with a steady stream. The ball grew in size, slowly and sporadically at first, but then more controlled till it was about as big as his fist. Aurzel stemmed the flow of energy and the ball stopped growing. He raised his hand and the ball followed, attached to the strings of energy left connecting it to the rest of his body. He aimed it at the wall opposite and exerted his will, pushing out and severing the ties that held the energy to his body. As the ball broke loose it shot forward at immense speed towards the wall and impacted in a shower of sparks. As the light faded away the wall remained undamaged. Aurzel smiled and created a second ball much faster and more fluid than the first. A quick push and it shot out towards the wall just like the first. This time though just before it hit the wall he exerted his will on it and it banked hard towards the adjacent wall. Again just before it hit he concentrated and set the energy in a new direction till he had it flying laps around the room. Eventually satisfied with his control he let the blast impact, leaving no sign that anything had even happened. He settled back into his meditative state and began focusing again.
