360 Question Empty 360 Question

Okay actually I have a few, I have been through the whole don't buy a refurbished Xbox360 and as it sits right now it looks to be cheaper even if I do encounter the RROD problem. I'm buying an additional wireless controller, AND two games one that I thought would be good would be Fable II, and the other Left 4 Dead 2, I was wondering really what games were must haves for the 360 to help my choice in deciding. Also, another question I had was even if I don't have an external hard drive am I still able to save a little memory? Or is my save put off until I can afford an external hard drive?

Any input is greatly appreciated, I have until the end of feb. to make my purchase so thanks for your comments guys!! They will be much appreciated.

Lol! Razz Alright then, I'm debating on Left 4 Dead 2 or Assassin's Creed 2, then either Left 4 Dead or Assassin's Creed. Cause they give you a choice of 1 new game and 1 old, kind of lame but meh.
